Job Summary:
Responsible for supporting engineering, manufacturing and sales concerning product requirements, design, compliance, fabrication and validation. This support will include creating and/or reviewing drawings and design calculations including design pressure calculations, nozzle loadings, tipping force calculations, pressure drop, heat transfer and material stress calculations using FEA.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assist with validating compliance of pressure vessel designs to design codes, such as ASME BPVC Section VIII, CE/PED, Ministry of Manpower, KEA, NR13 and SELO.
- Confer with Engineers and other personnel to troubleshoot and resolve design issues.
- Specify and/or recommend modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, able to adapt to different audiences as needed to accomplish goals.
- Assist Drafters/Designers with design of products as needed, using engineering principles and/or engineering software.
- Provide feedback to design engineers on customer problems and needs.
Requirements:
Minimum of an associate’s degree in an engineering related field or combination of engineering education and related experience.
Regular use of desktop computer including Microsoft Office and company operations software. Experience with or the ability to learn and effectively utilize enterprise resource planning (ERP) business process management software. Previous use of Microsoft Dynamics AX a plus.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical documents, written in English. Must be able to speak English effectively; present information and respond to team members’ inquiries and problems as well as project a professional image to visitors and customers.
Full-time salaried 1st shift position. Pay based upon education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities.
Will be required to work from our location in Lewis Run, PA.
